I chose Pitchfork as essential link because it is an indispensable resource to anyone hoping to stay up to date with their music collection and to keep educated. They update their collection of album reviews M-F with multiple albums spanning across a variety of genres. The reviews and articles stay up to date with the mainstream and pop culture, but manage to also navigate their way through the rapidly growing underground music scene, helping to merge the two. They have even featured a friend of mine, David Levesque aka Levek, on their "forkcast." So they do a great bit of research to bring us, the listeners, the best news on up and comers, album releases, and just about anything that they deem important to the music industry.
